This year and last year has been of mixed fortune for our organisation. We restricted our activities for fund raising from individual donors of N.R.I medical graduates from Kolkata neither do we apply for any trust fund. The reason is that we have continued problems at Kolkata, were we could not transfer any money to our bank in Kolka. The main reason being embargo from the Reserve bank of India from receiving any foreign donations into our bank account. We need to resolve this issue by registering our charity locally under Society Act of Government West Bengal 1961. Until then we are continuing our local activities from the interest generated from our fixed deposits at the Bank of Baroda, while our local agents and financial advisor are organising to complete the process of registration.
Our communication with the local Ex-students association (NGO) of different colleges of Kolkata is improving.
